Senior Site Engineer - Structural (Dubai Buildings Projects)

Role overview

Site supervision and technical review

• Process daily submittals, RFIs and shop drawings; review contractor documents and forward RFIs to the Associate Project Manager.
• Review material submittals and shop drawings for compliance with company standards, specifications, local rules, codes and regulations.
• Inspect work against approved shop drawings and standards; follow up for contract documents and authority approvals.
• Prepare BOQ breakdowns that account for material and labor costs, testing and commissioning, overhead and profit.

Project coordination and reporting

• Support client relations, technical and contractual clarifications, and third-party inspections as needed.
• Attend project kick-off meetings with clients and contractors to plan work commencement.
• Prepare progress reports, supervise supervision-file archiving, support correspondence, and review contractor monthly payments for approval.
• Implement corporate policies and procedures.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in an engineering function at a contracting company or in construction supervision.
• Experience within the Middle East.
• Knowledge of construction supervision services and international engineering standards and codes.
• Chartered Professional Engineering certification or equivalent is preferred.

Skills and languages

• Good interpersonal and leadership skills; strong communication, planning and organization, attention to detail, and time management.
• Proficiency in spoken and written Arabic and English.
