Senior Site Engineer – Civil

Role Overview

Compensation

• Salary is ₹30,000–₹50,000 per month.

Workplace

• The role is based in Chennai and requires in-person work.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily construction activities, assigned work fronts, and short-term site planning.
• Read civil, structural, and architectural drawings and manage RCC, structural, masonry, and finishing works.
• Manage Site Engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and labour teams while monitoring productivity.
• Track planned versus actual progress, identify delays, and implement corrective or recovery measures.
• Coordinate with QS, Planning, Procurement, Stores, QA/QC, and Safety teams.
• Ensure materials, manpower, equipment, and drawings are available when required.
• Monitor material consumption, quantities, wastage, and reconciliation with QS.
• Maintain quality standards, minimize rework, and close quality observations and site defects.
• Maintain site records and report progress, delays, manpower, materials, quality, and constraints.
• Take independent ownership and accountability for assigned work areas.

Requirements

• B.E., B.Tech, or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• 4–6 years of relevant construction experience.
• Strong experience in building construction, site execution, subcontractor management, and team handling.
• Knowledge of RCC, construction drawings, specifications, planning, coordination, and problem solving.
