Senior Sales Engineer
About This Role
Follows all relevant sales policies, processes and standard operating procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Follows the day-to-day operations related to own jobs in the function to ensure continuity of work.
Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and researching and analyzing sales opportunities by meeting internal metrics including: call volume, number of opportunities, and closed business.
Exceeding monthly quota objectives through outbound sales activities; accurately forecasting opportunities based on realistic assessments; strategically managing the pipeline of opportunities.
Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assesses customers met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and the firm.
Monitors customer support for technical solutions proposed throughout the sales process, and alerts the sales and account teams to potential risks of deal closure.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
Demonstrations of the product, both standard and tailored to suspects and prospects. Providing technical training and producing support material for other members of the sales team.
Works on after-sales support services and provides technical back up as required.
Prepares reports for direct manager and keeping customer records.
Complies with all relevant safety, quality, health and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
