Senior Safety/HSEW Officer

Overview

Your Role

• Perform site inspection of work areas, laydown areas, offices, tools, equipment and vehicles.
• Identify non-conformances and address them with the method appropriate with the severity of the non-conformance.
• Develop the Emergency Response Plan and implement it.
• Perform monthly HSE Self Audits.
• Produce the required internal reports and upload in the BlueSky (HSE Data Management Portal of AtkinsR alis).
• Produce the required HSE reports and submit for clients and stakeholders.
• Identify training needs for Subcontractor personnel.
• Conduct training and TBTs for all project personnel.
• Implements the AtkinsR alis Bluebook GHSEMS.
• Establishes system and processes designed to ensure compliance to AtkinsR alis GHSEMS.
• Provides HSE documentation and support to AtkinsR alis managers and supervisors on site.
• Interfaces with client representatives to ensure that ongoing input to the HSE processes are incorporated and that satisfaction with the results is achieved.
• Maintains current, daily knowledge of all active areas, records and reports as per HSE requirements.
• Ensures that Subcontractor attend HSE training and have competent resources.
• Assists the Construction / Operations Manager in follow-up of corrective actions.
• Leads site HSE inspections with managers.
• Conducts incident investigations and follow-ups on corrective actions.
• Ensures communication with the Subcontractors HSE officers.
• Informs Construction / Project Manager of HSE issues to ensure compliance with contractual, legal and other requirements.
• Leads Joint H&S Committee meetings.
• Participates in meetings in which HSE topics are discussed.
