Senior Resident Engineer (Museums)

Overview

Site Supervision & Project Delivery

• Act as the on-site representative for the client/PMC.
• Lead all site supervision activities across large-scale projects.
• Ensure execution aligns with design, specifications, and timelines.

Construction Management

• Monitor contractor performance and construction progress.
• Review and approve shop drawings, materials, and method statements.
• Oversee execution of complex architectural elements and finishes.

Mega/Giga Project Coordination

• Handle multiple contractors and packages across large developments.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, MEP, and specialty teams.
• Ensure integration of complex and iconic design elements (museums, cultural assets).

Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Enforce QA/QC processes and international standards.
• Conduct inspections and resolve non-conformance issues.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi codes and project specifications.

Stakeholder Management

• Interface with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities.
• Lead coordination meetings and resolve technical challenges.
• Provide regular progress, risk, and performance reports.

Contract & Commercial Oversight

• Monitor contracts, variations, and claims.
• Review and certify contractor progress and payments.

Health, Safety & Environment

• Ensure implementation of HSE standards on site.
• Promote a strong safety culture across all activities.

About You

• Qualifications & Experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Architecture.
• Master's Degree (preferred).
• 20+ years of experience in construction and supervision.
• Extensive experience in Mega/Giga projects (e.g., NEOM, Red Sea, large cultural builds).
• Proven experience in museum, cultural, or complex architectural projects.
• Strong background as a Resident Engineer / Senior RE on-site roles.

Preferred Certifications

• PMP / PE or equivalent.
• Membership in professional engineering institutions.

• Deep knowledge of construction standards and Saudi regulations.
• Ability to manage high-value, multi-stakeholder projects.

Other Requirements

• Previous GCC/KSA experience preferred.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
• Willingness to be based in Riyadh.
