Minimum qualifications

  • 9–11 years of overall software development experience with strong hands-on expertise in React Native.
  • Proven experience building and shipping mobile applications with React Native for iOS and Android.
  • Strong proficiency with GraphQL integration in mobile apps, including query/mutation design and error handling.
  • Solid understanding of mobile fundamentals, including performance optimization, debugging, and platform-specific considerations.
  • Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams and delivering features reliably in production environments.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain production-grade cross-platform mobile applications using React Native.
  • Lead implementation of complex UI flows, navigation patterns, and reusable component libraries with a focus on scalability and consistency.
  • Integrate GraphQL APIs, define efficient queries and mutations, and ensure robust client-side data handling and caching.
  • Drive mobile app performance improvements in rendering, startup time, and memory usage.
  • Collaborate with backend teams to align GraphQL schemas and client requirements and improve API usability and reliability.
  • Ensure code quality through clean architecture, unit and integration testing, and thorough code reviews.
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues, including crash analysis and release hotfixes.
  • Mentor engineers, guide best practices, and contribute to technical decision-making and delivery planning.
  • Participate in release management, app store submissions, and continuous improvement of CI/CD and development workflows.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience designing scalable mobile architectures and establishing patterns for state management, networking, and modularization is preferred.
  • Knowledge of GraphQL client strategies, including caching, pagination, optimistic updates, and schema-driven development, is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with automated React Native testing and improving test coverage is preferred.
  • Experience improving developer productivity through tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and release automation is preferred.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership through mentoring, critical-module ownership, and engineering best practices is preferred.

Good-to-have skills

  • TypeScript, Redux, Apollo Client, Jest, and Firebase are good-to-have skills.
