Role overview

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution; three years of progressive specialty experience may substitute for each year of education.
• At least four years of Information Technology experience and at least four years of software testing experience.
• Must be located within commuting distance of Burnaby, BC, or be willing to relocate to the area.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in Canada without employer-based visa sponsorship; Infosys cannot provide sponsorship for this role.
• A collaborative approach, strong communication, end-to-end SDLC capability, hands-on coding, and cross-functional software integration experience are required.

Required skills and experience

• Quality engineering transformation, consulting, enterprise testing modernization, and AI solutioning and implementation.
• Technical understanding of automation tools, AI solutions, APIs, and non-functional checks.
• Enterprise architecture, digital transformation, and quality engineering operating models, including TCoE setup, governance, KPIs, SLAs, metrics, and executive reporting.
• Test automation strategy, automation architecture frameworks, and continuous testing implementation.
• Agile, Scrum, SAFe, DevOps, CI/CD, Shift-Left, and Shift-Right testing practices.
• Enterprise test management, quality governance, risk management, stakeholder communication, and large-scale testing program leadership.

Preferred experience

• Retail domain experience.
• Quality analytics, dashboards, data-driven decisions, process improvement, productivity optimization, and cost reduction programs.
• Change management, organizational transformation, capability development, and reusable test automation frameworks, accelerators, standards, and practices.

Role responsibilities

• Define test strategies and lead automation initiatives; manage defect governance and bug fixes.
• Gather and document requirements, facilitate application design discussions, and document design decisions.
• Participate in coding, integrate features, conduct code reviews, and maintain code repositories.
• Analyze test results and coordinate delivery with stakeholders and engineering teams.
• Develop user training, documentation, and support frameworks for new applications.
• Resolve production issues, recommend preventive reliability measures, and maintain records of code, testing, and support activities.

Work conditions

• The role requires extended periods sitting and working at a computer and communication by telephone, email, or face to face.
• Travel may be required.

Compensation

• Estimated annual compensation in Burnaby, British Columbia, is CAD 82,280 to CAD 120,754.
