The Senior Quantity Surveyor supports the Commercial Team in managing valuations, payment applications, variations, cost control, final accounts, and commercial reporting for airport and infrastructure works.
Key Responsibilities
1.
Prepare, review, and assess IPCs, payment applications, valuations, and commercial submissions.
2.
Review, evaluate, and substantiate variations, change orders, and cost impacts.
3.
Prepare BOQs, quantity take-offs, measurement sheets, and supporting commercial records.
4.
Support cost control, cash flow forecasting, cost reporting, and budget monitoring.
5.
Assist in the preparation and settlement of final accounts.
6.
Coordinate with site teams, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to validate quantities and progress.
7.
Review contractor submissions and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
8.
Maintain commercial records, trackers, and substantiation files.
9.
Support claims and contractual assessments where commercial input is required.
10.
Guide junior QS staff and support quality control of commercial outputs.
Qualifications And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in quantity surveying, cost management, or commercial management.
- Minimum 3 years’ airport, aviation, or major infrastructure experience preferred.
- Consultancy, PMC, contractor, or engineering environment experience.
- Strong knowledge of measurement, valuation, variations, IPCs, and final accounts.
- FIDIC experience preferred.
- MRICS or equivalent professional certification preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office, Excel, Aconex, and commercial reporting tools.
