Senior Quantity Surveyor - Infrastructure

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Conduct cost analysis, estimation, and budgeting for infrastructure projects.
• Prepare bills of quantities, specifications, and tender documentation; verify survey data and measurement records.
• Administer contracts, variations, claims, and change orders, and communicate transparently with stakeholders.
• Use quantity surveying software and land-information platforms for data storage, analysis, and reporting.
• Research legal records, contractual terms, and industry standards to support compliance and identify risks.
• Prepare reports, plots, maps, and financial statements communicating project status and cost implications.
• Collaborate with project teams, engineers, architects, and clients on requirements and cost management recommendations.
• Monitor expenditure against budgets, identify variances, and implement corrective measures.
• Mentor junior team members, mitigate financial and contractual risks, and maintain audit-ready documentation.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional Quantity Surveyor certification or equivalent qualification recognized in the UAE.
• Minimum 8–10 years of quantity surveying experience, including 3–5 years in a senior capacity.
• Demonstrated expertise in cost estimation, budget management, and financial analysis.

Workplace

• Work location model is hybrid.
• New hires must attend in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office.
