Measures and values work on assigned landscape and construction projects.
Prepares BOQs and interim valuations, certifies subcontractor payments, values variations, and reports project cost position.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare BOQs, take-offs, and project quantity measurements.
- Prepare interim payment applications and progress certificates within contractual timelines.
- Measure executed work against approved drawings and contract documents; reconcile quantities with site records.
- Review subcontractor valuations, certify payments for Finance, and reconcile subcontractor accounts against quantities and rates.
- Track costs against approved budgets, report costs, and update Cost to Complete forecasts against actual costs.
- Identify cost variances, recommend corrective actions, and document project variations.
- Measure and value variations and submit assessments for approval within contractual periods.
- Prepare and negotiate final accounts with the client.
- Compile as-built quantities and supporting documents; maintain measurement, valuation, and cost records for audit.
Knowledge and experience
- At least 5 years of quantity surveying experience in the construction sector.
- Proven experience in interim valuation, variation assessment, final account preparation, cost monitoring and reporting, and subcontractor valuation and certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- RICS membership is preferred.
- SCE registration is required where the postholder practices under the title of Engineer in Saudi Arabia.
