Role overview

The Senior Project Manager leads complex Microsoft delivery engagements and is accountable for client outcomes, predictable execution, financial control and business value.

The role brings together cross-functional delivery, architecture, functional, technical, offshore, PMO and client teams.

The project manager establishes ownership, maintains plans and forecasts, uses KPIs, escalates early and manages scope and change with commercial judgment.

Duties and responsibilities

Own end-to-end delivery of large, complex projects aligned with organizational goals and client outcomes; control scope, schedule, budget, quality, risks, issues, dependencies, change and baselines.
Establish stakeholder ownership, decision rights, communications cadence, project goals, success criteria and priority trade-offs.
Manage risks, issues and dependencies through proactive mitigation, recovery actions, business-impact clarity and early escalation.
Apply delivery methodology, stage gates, health reviews and standard practices while improving execution quality.
Manage $10M+ budgets with forecasting, budget-versus-actual review, estimate-at-complete awareness, margin protection and action on variances.
Identify scope movement, lead re-estimation and deliver Change Orders with client alignment and commercial rationale.
Lead or support Steering Committee governance, stage-gate readiness, executive reporting, decision management and value alignment.
Communicate progress, risks, decisions, delivery challenges and corrective actions to clients and internal stakeholders.
Capture lessons learned and improve reusable delivery practices, tools, templates and reporting.
Provide project escalation support, establish accountability, coach teams, resolve conflicts and address capability or execution gaps.

Requirements

Experienced consulting project manager able to stabilize delivery and lead client and internal governance.
Ability to lead large, complex projects and control scope, schedule, budget, quality, risks, issues, dependencies, change and baselines.
Experience managing project budgets of $10M+ with forecasting, budget-versus-actual review, estimate-at-complete awareness and margin protection.
Ability to establish ownership, decision rights, communication cadence, goals, success criteria and priority trade-offs with stakeholders.
Ability to manage scope movement, re-estimation and commercially justified Change Orders.
Strong transparent communication, escalation, conflict resolution and delivery-team coaching capabilities.
