Project and role

Lead assured delivery of complex golf course developments within a large luxury mixed-use development in Riyadh, KSA.

Integrate project controls with specialist construction, shaping, drainage, irrigation, agronomy, landscaping, and operational handover knowledge.

Deliver safe, sustainable, high-quality outcomes aligned with design intent, playability, programme, budget, and long-term operational needs.

Golf course and project delivery

  • Lead end-to-end golf course delivery from strategy and mobilization through procurement, construction, grow-in, handover, and closeout.
  • Integrate design, shaping, drainage, irrigation, turf, landscaping, and facilities to protect quality, playability, and operational performance.
  • Manage delivery from project inception and brief through design development, planning, contractor procurement, construction, and agreed milestones.
  • Lead project teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to achieve strategic KPIs and timely, accurate deliverables.
  • Drive governance, controls, risk, cost, programme, and reporting discipline; manage budgets and commercial performance and identify risks and mitigations.
  • Coordinate design-to-construction interfaces, grow-in strategy, clubhouse and facilities interfaces, maintenance facility readiness, transition, commissioning, and closeout.

Safety, quality, and collaboration

  • Champion safety, wellbeing, inclusivity, sustainability, and responsible delivery across projects.
  • Apply local health and safety rules, model safety behaviours, and share lessons learned to support staff wellbeing.
  • Ensure robust quality systems are established and managed in line with service excellence and design intent.
  • Align stakeholders and collaborate with senior leaders, project teams, and clients to deliver agreed outcomes.
  • Share best practice, innovate, and support continuous improvement and sustainable development of the function or business unit.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, landscape architecture, turfgrass management, agronomy, project management, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive progressive experience in golf course development, sports infrastructure, resort or leisure destinations, landscape construction, civil infrastructure, public realm, hospitality, or capital programme delivery.
  • Senior project management experience leading complex golf course or landscape-led packages, multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and specialist contractors in live delivery environments.
  • Track record in course construction, earthworks, shaping, irrigation, drainage, turf establishment, agronomy coordination, water management, landscape delivery, procurement support, contract administration, and executive reporting.
  • Experience with design-to-construction interfaces, grow-in, facilities readiness, operational transition, commissioning, and closeout is preferred.

Technical and professional qualifications

  • Professional English proficiency is required; Arabic is advantageous for authority, local stakeholder, or regional delivery coordination.
  • Advanced capability in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Power BI or equivalent dashboards, document control, risk registers, collaboration platforms, and project management information systems.
  • A master’s degree, PMP, PRINCE2, APM, chartered or professional registration, or golf course construction, irrigation, agronomy, or turf management certification is preferred.
  • Familiarity with golf course design documentation, irrigation design tools, QA/QC records, field reporting platforms, and site-based delivery systems is advantageous.
  • A valid driving licence and site access eligibility may be required.

Leadership capabilities

  • Strategic judgment and senior stakeholder influence; calm, evidence-based decision-making under pressure.
  • Strong ownership, accountability, and delivery discipline.
  • Collaborative leadership across multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
  • Clear communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, and escalation management.
  • Significant golf course project management experience and proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and contractors.
