Senior Project Manager

Role overview

Planning and scheduling

• Implement the project management framework and execution statement; guide, review, and take responsibility for project execution plan content.
• Define project control criteria and oversee the master programme, ensuring its structure aligns with the agreed work breakdown structure.
• Monitor programme progress and updates, coordinate with stakeholders, and lead delay mitigation and improvement initiatives.
• Ensure construction contract programmes are reviewed and approved; lead time control, early-warning reviews, and change ownership.

Risk and commercial management

• Establish formal project risk management, chair risk meetings, and lead mitigation and control measures.
• Take responsibility for engagement technical and commercial performance; identify risks and establish delivery, resource, financial, and project-management arrangements.
• Take overall responsibility for the project cost element, including monitoring and management of third parties.

Construction-phase management

• Manage stakeholder relationships and the performance of design and site delivery teams.
• Ensure site teams receive timely stakeholder decisions and establish collaborative problem-solving with contractors.
• Chair progress meetings with contractors, technical advisers, and supervision consultants to address delivery issues.
• Monitor contract administration, claims protection, contractual correspondence, and records to protect the client.

People management

• Support a collaborative and effective team environment and uphold company standards.
• Lead, motivate, guide, and mentor direct reports; support staff development and set career and role objectives with senior management.
• Plan and conduct annual performance reviews in line with company processes.

Requirements

• Recent experience managing ADEK K–12 school projects in Abu Dhabi.
• Experience managing delivery of community buildings and residential buildings, including low-rise apartments and high-end villas.
• Experience leading project management through pre-contract stages, procurement, award, and delivery of Design and Build works.
• Experience in project team leadership and stakeholder management.
• Experience managing project planning, schedules, risks, construction delivery, and commercial performance.
