Senior Project Manager

Role overview

Program delivery and governance

• Lead end-to-end IFRS transformation delivery across multiple workstreams.
• Manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
• Establish governance, reporting, and executive communication frameworks.
• Manage risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies and drive mitigations.
• Conduct Steering Committee meetings and update senior leadership.

Implementation and stakeholder coordination

• Drive requirements gathering, solution design, testing, deployment, and business adoption.
• Coordinate with auditors, consultants, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders.
• Drive change management, training, and adoption activities.
• Manage vendor engagement, contract governance, and third-party deliverables where applicable.
• Support finance modernization across reporting, consolidation, accounting, and data transformation.

Required experience and expertise

• 12+ years of IT and business transformation experience, including at least 5 years in project or program management.
• Strong IFRS knowledge; IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 are preferred.
• Experience delivering large-scale finance, regulatory, or transformation programs.
• Understanding of accounting, finance, actuarial, and reporting processes.
• Experience in insurance, banking, or financial services.
• Expertise in governance, budgets, risk management, stakeholder communication, cross-functional teams, and vendor management.

Preferred qualifications

• Insurance or banking domain experience is preferred.
• PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, SAFe, or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Finance transformation, enterprise data platform, ERP, regulatory reporting, cloud finance transformation, actuarial systems, accounting platforms, or enterprise reporting experience is preferred.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Master's degree or MBA is preferred; CA, CPA, ACCA, or CIMA is an added advantage.
