Senior Project Manager

Role summary

Service delivery and leadership

• Own end-to-end SAP AMS delivery across functional, technical, Basis, security, integration, and reporting workstreams.
• Lead customer governance, escalations, SLAs, KPIs, ITIL processes, operational reviews, critical incidents, and service improvement.
• Provide RTR or PTP functional leadership and manage demand, enhancements, releases, testing, cutover, hypercare, and support transition.
• Lead staffing, capacity, shifts, training, cross-skilling, team performance, delivery budgets, forecasts, profitability, and margin improvement.
• Drive automation, self-service, knowledge reuse, monitoring, problem elimination, and measurable service improvement.
• Maintain security, access, data-handling, audit, and operating-procedure compliance.

Experience and qualifications

• Requires 15–18 years of SAP experience, including substantial SAP AMS or production-support leadership.
• Requires at least 5 years in service delivery, engagement management, program management, or equivalent customer-facing leadership.
• Requires deep functional expertise in either SAP RTR (FI/CO) or PTP (MM with FI integration); complementary value-stream knowledge is preferred.
• Requires strong SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA support, enhancement, integration, upgrade, and transition experience.
• Experience with large multi-vendor, multi-location teams is required; 24×7 service experience is preferred.

Customer and security environment

• The engagement supports a defense customer in a controlled, mission-critical, audit-intensive environment.
• Work includes confidentiality, need-to-know access, secure communications, data residency, privileged-access coordination, and audit traceability.
• Customer screening, access authorization, and onsite work may apply where required.

Functional expertise

• RTR expertise includes SAP FI/CO, financial close and reporting, reconciliations, controls, and integration with relevant modules.
• PTP expertise includes SAP MM, procurement, inventory, invoice verification, vendor governance, payment integration, and FI/CO integration.
