Role overview

The Senior Product Owner will shape product strategy, roadmaps, and delivery of digital banking solutions used by financial institutions worldwide.

The role works with Product Management, Engineering, Architecture, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into capabilities, prioritize features, and guide Agile teams.

The position combines functional expertise, stakeholder management, and delivery of customer-focused solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute functional expertise to product business design.
  • Help define roadmaps and support end-to-end release delivery and stakeholder communications.
  • Build banking and financing software products with collaborative R&D teams.
  • Encourage continuous improvement in teams' functional and domain understanding.
  • Improve product quality by challenging and supporting people and engineering practices.
  • Support product-team governance for quality and efficiency.
  • Mentor team members and reinforce organizational values and culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent additional professional experience.
  • Hands-on concept-to-production delivery experience and understanding of digital banking solutions in global organizations.
  • 11–15 years of experience in design, development, operations, and managing functional perspectives of solutions.
  • Strong functional and domain knowledge, with exposure to techno-functional solution binding.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
  • Exposure to large enterprise-grade components and experience with Agile environments.
  • Understanding of product roadmaps and release plans; able to take initiative with minimal guidance.
  • Microservices or cloud-based solutions experience is a plus.
  • Banking or financing domain experience is a plus, but not necessary.
