Position overview

Join Autodesk's Analytics Data Platform team as a product manager for infrastructure used by data, analytics, and AI teams.

The platform supports analytics and AI workloads across Autodesk products and services.

The team aims to make infrastructure self-service and automated, combining systems into a simpler product experience.

The role balances platform user needs with company requirements for cost, compliance, and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Own the vision and roadmap for storage, compute, and systems connecting analytics workflows.
  • Define on-demand self-service access to storage, compute, and platform resources.
  • Set reliability standards and improve visibility into use, cost, and performance.
  • Partner with distributed engineers and users; lead technical discussions, product requirements, planning, and prioritization.
  • Manage capabilities, migrations, and retirement as platform technologies evolve.
  • Build in security and compliance, including least privilege, project-scoped access, and environment isolation.
  • Track infrastructure trends, assess vendors, measure impact, maintain documentation, and support platform users.

Minimum qualifications

  • 4+ years of product management, including scaled infrastructure or platform products such as data platforms, cloud infrastructure, or developer tooling.
  • Align distributed cross-functional teams without formal authority and build agreement with stakeholders and leadership.
  • Translate technical users' needs into product decisions and connect platform choices to business outcomes and measurable targets.
  • Discuss storage, compute, query engines, orchestration, and scale, performance, and cost trade-offs with senior engineers.
  • Use product discovery, research, and data; lead end-to-end delivery and migrations; measure platform usage.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with Spark, Trino, or Athena and Kubernetes or EKS.
  • Experience with Iceberg, Snowflake, Airflow, Temporal, or Metaflow.
  • Experience with Ranger or Lake Formation, observability, and cost or performance management.
  • Experience with Looker, notebooks, or query workbenches.
  • Experience leading large-scale infrastructure migrations, including multi-region or data-residency requirements.
  • Experience with build-versus-buy decisions and vendor assessments.

Salary transparency

  • For Canada-based roles, the expected starting base salary is CAD 122,000 to CAD 179,300.
  • Compensation may also include annual cash bonuses, stock grants, and benefits.

Onboarding

  • The role may require in-person onboarding and/or in-person identity verification.
