Senior Procurement Engineer

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete procurement cycle from material requisition to purchase order issuance.
• Source and evaluate suppliers and subcontractors based on technical and commercial requirements.
• Obtain competitive quotations and conduct commercial and technical bid evaluations.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and contractual conditions.
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) and Subcontract Agreements.
• Develop and maintain an approved vendor database.
• Conduct supplier performance evaluations and maintain supplier scorecards.
• Build strategic relationships with key suppliers and manufacturers.
• Resolve supplier-related issues regarding quality, delivery, and commercial disputes.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Planning, QA/QC, and Site teams to identify procurement priorities.
• Ensure timely procurement of long-lead items to avoid project delays.
• Monitor procurement schedules and align deliveries with project requirements.
• Follow up on material approvals, technical submittals, and shop drawings when required. Achieve procurement cost savings through effective negotiations and sourcing strategies.
• Prepare comparison statements and procurement reports.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning activities.
• Ensure compliance with project budgets and procurement KPIs.
• Monitor supplier delivery performance and take corrective actions when necessary.
• Review supplier and subcontractor contracts and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or MEP related discipline).
• 10–12 years of procurement experience in construction, MEP, electrical, industrial, manufacturing, High Rise buildings or infrastructure projects.

Skills

• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Excellent knowledge of procurement procedures and supply chain management.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with ERP systems such as

SAP

Oracle or Odoo ERP

• , or similar platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement reporting.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and procurement packages simultaneously.
