Senior Principal Engineer - Electrical

Role Overview

Engineering Leadership

• Develop and implement engineering practices, workflows, specifications, and procedures.
• Review work activities and projects, monitor workflow, and advise subject matter experts and project management teams.
• Control KPIs, benchmarks, and efficiency figures used to estimate equipment, material, and man-hours.
• Optimize engineering practices and workflows using collected KPIs.
• Coordinate and participate in training programs for engineers and designers.

Project Execution

• Ensure compliance with discipline and job manuals and fulfil contractual requirements.
• Complete WBS elements within allotted man-hours and schedule dates.
• Perform timely quality reviews of inter-discipline documents and vendor deliverables.
• Implement relevant safety principles, standards, rules, and procedures.
• Manage technical procurement activities, approve vendor documents, attend inspections, and respond to site queries.
• Perform MHRS calculations using the discipline calculation tool.

Experience and Education

• 18+ years of experience in an EPC or detailed design engineering company executing projects.
• Experience in oil and gas, air separation, energy, refining, or petrochemical project sectors.
• MTech, ME, BTech, or BE in Electrical Engineering.

Technical Skills

• Experience with ETAP, system studies, and 3D models.
• Independently develop single-line diagrams, SCDs, and control schematics.
• Knowledge of MV/LV motors, transformers, diesel generators, and variable frequency drives.
• Knowledge of cable sizing, earthing calculations, and lighting calculations using DIALux.
