By bridging the gap between global procurement and local sales, you will define the strategies that capture market share, optimize our margins, and ensure our firm remains the preferred choice in a volatile global supply chain."
1. Strategic Pricing & Margin Management
- **Pricing Strategy:** Develop and implement data-driven pricing models that align with company growth objectives and market trends.
- **Profitability Analysis:** Monitor gross margins and implement "price-to-win" strategies while ensuring internal financial benchmarks are met.
- **Tender Management:** Oversee large-scale RFQ (Request for Quote) processes for key accounts, ensuring timely and competitive submissions.
2. Procurement & Vendor Relations
- **Agent & Carrier Negotiation:** Build and maintain high-level relationships with shipping lines, airlines, and overseas agents to secure preferential "buying" rates.
- **Capacity Planning:** Forecast volume requirements to negotiate long-term contracts and blocked space agreements (BSAs).
3. Team Leadership & Oversight
- **Team Management:** Supervise Pricing Coordinators and Analysts, providing guidance on complex quotations and dispute resolutions.
- **Process Improvement:** Streamline the workflow between the pricing department, sales, and operations to reduce quote turnaround time.
- **System Integrity:** Oversee the accuracy of rate databases in **Ipack**, Excel, or other ERP systems.
4. Market Intelligence
- **Market Monitoring:** Stay updated on GRI (General Rate Increases), peak season surcharges, and fuel fluctuations (BAF/CAF) to advise the sales team and management.
- **Competitor Analysis:** Regularly benchmark our rates against competitors to identify gaps and opportunities.
### Qualifications & Skills
- **Experience:** 8+ years in logistics pricing, procurement, or commercial management.
- **Analytical Expertise:** Advanced proficiency in data analysis and financial modeling.
- **Negotiation:** Proven track record of negotiating with global carriers and vendors.
- **Software Proficiency:** Expert level in **Microsoft Excel** (Vlookups, Pivot Tables, Macros) and logistics ERPs (e.g., Ipack, CargoWise).
- **Leadership:** Strong ability to mentor a team and manage high-pressure deadlines.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
