Senior Presales Engineer (Software)

About This Role
The Presales Engineer plays a critical role in partnering with the sales team and prospective clients to translate business needs into effective technical solutions. This role combines strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and commercial awareness to support successful sales engagements.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Discovery & Consultation
- Engage with prospects to understand their business challenges, technical requirements, and objectives.
- Recommend tailored solutions that showcase the value and capabilities of our products.
Product Demonstrations
- Deliver customized product demos highlighting key features, functionality, and business benefits.
- Clearly articulate how our solutions address specific client needs.
Proof of Concept (PoC)
- Lead PoC planning and execution with clients.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure timely and successful PoC delivery.
Solution Architecture
- Design scalable and technically sound solutions aligned with client requirements.
- Advise on system integrations, architecture feasibility, and deployment approaches.
Technical Presentations & Communication
- Present technical content in a confident and engaging manner to diverse audiences.
- Respond to technical questions and manage objections professionally.
Competitive & Market Insights
- Stay updated on market trends and competitor products.
- Provide insights to support differentiation and sales strategies.
Sales Cycle Support
- Collaborate with the sales team throughout the sales process.
- Contribute to proposals, RFIs/RFPs, and technical documentation.
Customer Relationship Management
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor before and after solution design.
- Ensure excellent customer experience to support successful deal closure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a presales engineering role within the software industry.
- Strong technical understanding of software architectures, cloud technologies, and integration methods.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for both technical and business audiences.
- Experience in conducting product demos, PoCs, and technical discussions with clients.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Results-driven with a focus on customer success and contributing to sales targets.
