Senior Platform Engineer

The role

What You’ll Be Working On

• Design and deploy production cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform with a focus on scale, reliability, and availability.
• Drive infrastructure-as-code with Terraform to create reproducible, auditable, automated server infrastructure.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines, containerized services, security controls, observability, incident response, and cloud cost efficiency.
• Partner with engineering squads on platform friction, roadmap planning, legacy component removal, and long-term production fixes.

What We're Looking For

• At least 5 years of systems or software engineering experience focused on SRE and DevOps paradigms.
• Deep hands-on Google Cloud Platform experience is required.
• Strong proficiency with Cloudflare, WAF configurations, and API Gateway management.
• Proven production Terraform experience, including complex state management, and experience designing team CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on Docker and Linux experience. Kubernetes is not required, and Python knowledge is preferred.
• Experience improving security, disaster recovery, vulnerability remediation, identity and access management, and least-privilege controls.
• Ability to own a broad scope, adapt as the organization changes, and communicate clearly across technical and non-technical teams.

• This is a Sydney-based hybrid role combining office and home working.
• The office is located above Wynyard station, and the company values in-person collaboration.
