Senior Planning Engineer - Construction Industry

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Establish and monitor baseline schedules, milestones, and critical paths.
• Compare actual progress with approved baselines and identify deviations.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Analyze schedules for delays and project risks; recommend mitigation and recovery measures.
• Prepare look-ahead schedules and support short- and long-term construction planning.
• Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients.
• Monitor construction activities against approved schedules.
• Support claims and Extension of Time submissions as needed.
• Assist with progress forecasting, schedule recovery, and project-control reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 8 years as a Planning Engineer or Senior Planning Engineer in construction projects.
• Strong hands-on Primavera P6 experience; proficiency in MS Project and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of construction planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and project controls.
• Familiarity with pipeline, building construction, and waterworks sequences is preferred.
• Delay analysis, EOT, claims support, and recovery scheduling experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical, coordination, communication, and reporting skills.
• UAE/GCC construction project experience and immediate availability are preferred.

Compensation and benefits

• Salary starts at AED 20,000 per month.
