Senior Planning Engineer

Project Planning & Scheduling

• Develop, maintain, and monitor comprehensive project baseline programmes using

Primavera P6

• .
• Prepare detailed construction schedules covering engineering, procurement, authority approvals, construction activities, testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Establish project milestones, critical paths, resource requirements, and productivity targets.
• Regularly update schedules based on actual site progress and highlight deviations from planned progress.

Progress Monitoring & Controls

• Track daily, weekly, and monthly progress against approved programmes.
• Prepare project progress reports, dashboards, look-ahead schedules, and management presentations.
• Monitor manpower, equipment, material availability, and productivity trends.
• Identify potential delays, bottlenecks, and risks impacting project timelines.
• Recommend corrective actions and recovery plans to ensure project targets are achieved.

Delay Analysis & Claims Support

• Conduct delay analysis and evaluate schedule impacts due to design changes, variations, authority approvals, and other project constraints.
• Support preparation of
• Extension of Time (EOT) claims
• and contractual correspondence.
• Maintain accurate project records, progress data, and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with commercial and contracts teams on claims-related matters.

Project Coordination

• Work closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Engineering, Procurement, Commercial, QA/QC, HSE teams, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Conduct planning meetings and provide schedule-related guidance to project teams.
• Review subcontractor programmes and ensure alignment with the master project schedule.
• Provide timely reporting to project leadership and senior management.

Planning Systems & Reporting

• Maintain effective project controls systems and planning documentation.
• Prepare S-curves, manpower histograms, cash flow forecasts, KPI reports, and progress presentations.
• Ensure compliance with company planning procedures and client reporting requirements.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in

Civil Engineering

• is mandatory.
• Additional certifications in Planning / Project Management will be advantageous.

Experience

• Minimum
• 10–15 years of experience
• in construction planning.
• Strong experience working with
• reputed Main Contractors
• .
• Proven experience in building projects such as:
• High-rise residential/commercial towers
• Villa communities
• Residential developments
• Mixed-use projects
• UAE/GCC project experience preferred.
• Experience managing complete project lifecycle from mobilisation to handover.

Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in:
• **Primavera P6**
• MS Project
• MS Excel & project reporting tools
• Strong understanding of:
• Construction sequencing

• Critical Path Method (CPM)

• Resource & cost loading
• Delay analysis techniques
• EOT preparation & claims support
• Knowledge of UAE construction practices, authority approvals, and consultant requirements.
