Overview
To develop, optimize, and maintain formulations for thermoplastic road marking materials, cold plastic systems, water-based and solvent-based road marking paints, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, customer specifications, and performance requirements while supporting production, quality assurance, and product innovation.
Product Formulation & Development
- Develop and improve formulations for:
- Thermoplastic road marking materials
- Cold plastic road marking systems
- Waterborne road marking paints
- Solvent-based traffic paints
- Specialized reflective and high-performance coatings
- Evaluate new raw materials, resins, pigments, fillers, and additives.
- Optimize formulations for performance, durability, and cost efficiency.
- Develop products that meet local and international standards.
Laboratory Testing & Quality Control
- Conduct testing and evaluation of:
- Viscosity
- Density
- Softening point
- Flow characteristics
- Drying time
- Reflectivity
- Color consistency
- Adhesion
- Wear resistance
- Retro-reflectivity performance
- Analyze test results and recommend improvements.
- Establish product specifications and quality parameters.
Manufacturing Support
- Support production teams during batch manufacturing.
- Resolve formulation and process-related issues.
- Monitor product consistency and batch quality.
- Assist in scale-up from laboratory to commercial production.
Technical Documentation
- Prepare and maintain:
- Product specifications
• Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
- Formulation records
- Quality procedures
- Test reports
Research & Innovation
- Conduct market and competitor product analysis.
- Develop new products and improve existing formulations.
- Research environmentally friendly and sustainable coating technologies.
- Evaluate new technologies and raw materials.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with:
- ASTM Standards
- EN Standards
- AASHTO Specifications
- BS Standards
• IRC / MoRTH Specifications
- Local road authority requirements
- Ensure safe handling of chemicals and laboratory practices.
- Pay: AED1.00 - AED2.00 per hour
