Summary
Responsible for the assessment, prescription, design, fitting, and follow-up of complex orthotic and prosthetic devices.
The role provides clinical leadership, supervision, and technical guidance to junior staff and technicians while ensuring high standards of patient care, safety, and service efficiency.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and prescribeappropriate orthotic and prosthetic devices.
- Design, fit and adjust complex and specialized orthosesand prostheses.
- Manage follow up care, evaluate outcomes, and modifydevices as clinically required.
- Provide clinical supervision, mentoring, and competencyassessment for junior orthotists/prosthetists and technicians.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings andcontribute to patient management plans.
- Support quality improvement initiatives, audits, andpatient safety activities.
- Participated in self and others education, training, andresearch activities as assigned
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, andaccreditation requirement.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education
Master s,or Bachelor s Degree in Prosthetics/Orthotics is required.
Required
Four (4) years of related experience with Master, or six (6) years with Bachelor s Degree is required.
Other Requirements(Certificates)
CurrentRegistration from Country of Origin and/or Saudi Commission for HealthSpecialist (SCFHS) is required
