Overview
To ensure operational readiness of all fire and rescue services resources, through a program of training, maintenance, exercises and drills.
To be proactive in fire prevention and forming relationships with Abu Dhabi Ports stakeholders and external supporting agencies.
• Responsibilities: Core Responsibilities
- Implement day-to-day operations to ensure efficient emergency response and timely accurate reporting of routine duties to KP Management.
- Act as On Scene Commander to emergency calls, unforeseen circumstances and requests for assistance within AD Ports’ areas of jurisdiction.
- Arrange training and assessing to all subordinates via a competency-based system of assessment.
- Track the preventative maintenance system for all equipment related to response.
- Ensure the enforcement of all laws and ordinances within the legal jurisdiction of the Port authority.
- Ensure a suitable level of fitness for self and subordinate.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, quality and environment management policies, procedure and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
- Qualifications: Educational and Technical Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in F ire Safety, Engineering, Science, HSE, or a related field.
- Master's degree is a plus.
- Firefighting certificate is highly desired.
Language Skills
Excellent English .
Arabic is an added advantage
Years of Experience:
A minimum of 0-1 years of experience in a similar role
Nature of Experience:
Preferred knowledge of:
Fire suppression methods, practices and techniques.
Fire and emergency response equipment operation and maintenance.
Safety standards and precautions pertaining to the use and operation of fire equipment and to fire suppression activities.
Effective supervisory methods, practices and techniques including some knowledge of Governmental rules and regulations governing personnel procedures.
Demonstrate fire service discipline while at work and act responsibly and lawfully outside work to preserve the reputation of AD Ports Group.
Be ready to provide cover at short notice within 3hrs in case of an emergency.
Maintain good appearance, clean-shaven to use SCBA properly and always wearing clean and proper uniform.
Ability to communicate effectively and clearly in both oral and written form to supervisors peers and subordinates using modern communications technology when needed and available.
Ability to deal courteously and authoritatively with the public.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, other public safety agencies, and the general public.
