Work on the Lightly Shielded Store Project (LSS1), a new-build intermediate-level waste store on the Sellafield site with a 100-year design life.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate engineering and design activities for yourself and others.
- Develop engineering solutions from concept proposals through design for manufacture and the full project lifecycle.
- Identify design, statutory, and regulatory requirements and contribute to risk assessments.
- Produce technical reports, specifications, and scoping calculations.
- Review technical reports and drawings, and present solutions to stakeholders and design reviews.
Qualifications and experience
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, such as an HNC/HND with significant experience.
- Attained or working toward chartered or incorporated status with a recognized professional body, such as IMechE.
- Familiarity with UKCA/CE marking, CDM, PUWER, LOLER, PED, and the Machinery’s Directive.
- Experience in highly regulated environments is advantageous.
