Senior Mechanical Engineer role with an MEP contracting and construction company in Dubai.
The role delivers mechanical engineering works on complex construction projects across the UAE/GCC region.
Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical project execution to approved specifications, schedules, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
- Review shop drawings, technical submittals, material approvals, and construction documents.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Monitor progress and risks, implement corrective actions, and ensure compliance with codes, authority rules, contracts, and industry practices.
- Supervise mechanical installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.
- Guide site engineers, supervisors, and project personnel; support planning, procurement, materials, and resource allocation.
- Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and project documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
- 7–10 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience in MEP contracting and construction.
- Experience managing mechanical systems for commercial, residential, or mixed-use developments in the UAE/GCC.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, chilled water, ventilation, smoke management, plumbing, drainage, water supply, and firefighting systems.
- Familiarity with UAE authority requirements, industry codes, and international engineering standards.
- Experience reviewing submittals, shop drawings, method statements, and testing and commissioning documents.
- Understanding of project execution, quality control, cost awareness, and construction methods; strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Compensation
- Monthly salary is AED 16,000–24,000, based on qualifications, experience, and capabilities.

- Work location is in person in Dubai, UAE.
