Senior Electrical Engineer role with an MEP contracting and construction company in Dubai.
The role covers electrical project execution across UAE/GCC construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical project works to meet specifications, schedules, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
- Review and coordinate shop drawings, technical submittals, material approvals, and construction documentation.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Monitor progress and risks, then implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with codes, authority regulations, contractual requirements, and industry practices.
- Supervise electrical installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.
- Guide site engineers, supervisors, and project personnel; support planning, procurement, materials, and resources.
- Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and project documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
- 7–10 years of relevant electrical engineering experience in MEP contracting and construction.
- Experience managing electrical systems for commercial, residential, or mixed-use UAE/GCC developments.
- Strong knowledge of LV systems, power distribution, lighting, small power, earthing, and lightning protection.
- Knowledge of fire and life safety systems, ELV systems, UAE authority requirements, codes, and international standards.
- Experience reviewing submittals, shop drawings, method statements, and testing and commissioning documentation.
- Understanding of project execution, quality control, cost awareness, and construction methodologies.
- Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Compensation
- Monthly salary of AED 16,000–24,000, commensurate with qualifications, experience, and capabilities.
Work location
- Work location is in person in Dubai, UAE.
