Job Profile
The Senior Manager Tax will lead the firm’s tax compliance and advisory function, manage client engagements and supervise the team.
The role involves reviewing work, supporting clients on tax matters, and ensuring compliance with UAE tax requirements.
1. Tax Compliance & Advisory
· Oversee preparation and review of:
· UAE VAT returns
· Corporate Tax filings
· Ensure full compliance with Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations
· Provide practical tax advisory to clients on UAE tax matters
· Monitor changes in tax laws and assess impact on clients and business
2. Client Management
· Manage a portfolio of clients
· Act as the primary point of contact for tax related matters
· Handle complex queries, tax structuring, and advisory requests
· Support client onboarding and retention
3. Team Leadership
· Lead and manage a team of tax
· Review work of the team for accuracy and compliance
· Provide training, mentoring, and performance feedback
· Allocate work and ensure deadlines are met
4. Audit & Regulatory Liaison
· Manage tax audits and inquiries from authorities
· Liaise directly with the Federal Tax Authority (FTA)
· Ensure proper documentation and audit readiness
5. Process Improvement & Strategy
· Improve internal tax processes and workflows
· Support the Associate Director in tax planning initiatives
· Contribute to service line growth and efficiency
Requirements
· Professional qualification preferred: ACCA / CA / CPA
· 8–10 years of tax experience, preferably in UAE
· Strong expertise in UAE VAT, UAE Corporate Tax
· Prior team management experience
· Experience in a consulting / CA firm environment preferred
