Role Overview
Manage procurement and logistics for PV, wind, and BESS modules, inverters, trackers, and associated solar equipment across clean energy projects.
Ensure sourcing, supplier management, and material delivery align with project schedules, technical requirements, ESG goals, and responsible sourcing objectives.
Execute tendering, negotiations, contracting, expediting, and quality oversight while supporting value, schedule certainty, risk mitigation, and asset performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead RFP and RFQ preparation, bid clarifications, evaluations, negotiations, contract drafting, and purchase order administration.
- Manage supply, O&M, and long-term service agreements and oversee transportation, warehousing, and shipments.
- Coordinate quality services, factory and OEM qualification programs, audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
- Monitor supplier performance and maintain qualification documentation, contracts, purchase orders, and supplier records.
- Conduct market intelligence and prepare procurement schedules and cost forecasts with project and technical teams.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, governance, Delegation of Authority, ESG standards, and local content objectives.
- Coordinate with engineering, project delivery, legal, finance, and logistics teams and report status and risks to stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, finance, or a related field is preferred.
- A master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 7 years of procurement and supply chain management experience, including 3 years in renewable energy projects, is preferred.
- Experience with utility-scale solar PV, wind, or BESS equipment sourcing and contract execution is preferred.
- Experience with RFQ and RFP processes, supply and O&M agreements, OEM qualification, supplier monitoring, factory audits, and quality assurance is preferred.
Job-Specific Skills
- Knowledge of solar technologies, suppliers, market dynamics, procurement systems, and large-scale project processes.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, research, analytical, prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Understanding of commercial risks, contract structures, and financial implications in renewable energy procurement.
- Technical knowledge of PV, wind, and BESS modules, inverters, trackers, and performance indicators.
- Familiarity with IPP tenders, bid processes, EPC works, and utility-scale solar project delivery.
