Senior Manager – Platform and Network Security Operations

About This Role

The Senior Manager – Platform and Network Security Operations is responsible for end-to-end ownership of enterprise network and security infrastructure operations, including Firewall, WAF, PAM,VPN, Proxy, DLP, AV, PacketShaper, and Illumio. As custodian of platform and network security posture, ensuring alignment with enterprise security architecture, regulatory requirements, and business continuity objectives.

Responsibilities :

• Define and drive enterprise network and platform security infrastructure strategy aligned with business risk and cybersecurity objectives
• Develop long-term roadmap for security platform modernization, automation, consolidation, and resilience
• Establish governance frameworks for secure architecture, zero trust principles, and micro-segmentation (Illumio) adoption
• Ensure alignment of security infrastructure with regulatory, audit, and enterprise compliance requirements
• Drive continuous improvement in security posture, operational maturity, and infrastructure efficiency
• Own implementation, and governance of Firewall, WAF, VPN, Proxy, DLP, AV, Packet Shaper, PAM, and Illumio platforms
• Ensure effective policy management, rule optimization, and secure configuration across all security tools
• Manage security infrastructure lifecycle including upgrades, patching, tuning, and vendor coordination
• Ensure integration of security tools with monitoring, logging, and incident response platforms
• Oversee capacity management, performance tuning, and high availability of security systems.
• Oversee daily operations including incidents, problems, and change management. Own capacity and demand management across cloud and storage environments.
• Manage 24x7 availability and operational stability of all network and platform security systems
• Manage incident resolution, escalation handling, and root cause analysis for infrastructure issues
• Oversee patching, upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and configuration compliance across all platforms
• Ensure adherence to SLAs, operational KPIs, and service performance benchmarks
• Maintain CMDB accuracy, documentation, SOPs, and operational reporting dashboards
• Ensure DR drills, failover tests, and operational readiness exercises are executed and documented.
• Lead, mentor, and develop cloud operations team and ensure high performance culture.
• Ensure no dependency risk due to single skill ownership through cross-skilling and upskilling programs.
• Provide continuous technical guidance and support during critical incidents.
• Ensure team accountability for execution, while maintaining end-to-end responsibility for outcomes.
• Ensure team discipline in documentation, escalation, and operational processes.
• Manage performance, capability building, and succession planning within the team.

Qualification, Experience and Job specific skills :

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Electronics, or related engineering discipline.
• Professional certifications in network and security technologies such as ITIL 4, Check Point, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco Security, or equivalent security infrastructure certifications.
• Relevant certifications in security governance or operations will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 13–15 years of IT experience, with at least 5+ years in network and platform security operations leadership roles.
• Proven experience managing enterprise-scale security infrastructure environments including Firewall, WAF, VPN, Proxy, DLP, AV, and micro-segmentation platforms.
• Strong background in security operations, infrastructure hardening, vulnerability remediation, and security lifecycle management.
• Hands-on experience in security platform upgrades, patching, policy governance, high availability, and operational resilience.
• Experience in incident management, SLA governance, and managing critical 24x7 production security environments.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical teams, managing vendors/OEMs, and engaging with senior technology and business stakeholders.
