Senior Manager - Investment Planning
for a period of
12-Months
with our client based in
Dubai, UAE.
Job Summary
The Senior Manager - Investment Planning guides business units through the corporate investment process by developing investment briefs, business cases, change requests, and benefit reviews.
The role ensures strong governance and high‑quality documentation to support informed decision‑making by the Investment Committee.
It also manages portfolio prioritisation, investment planning activities, and the translation of strategic objectives into a multi‑year investment roadmap.
1.Investment Roadmap & Strategic Alignment
- Translate strategic inputs from Network Meetings and other strategic forums into a multi‑year Investment Roadmap.
- Plan and facilitate workshops with business stakeholders to convert strategic objectives into programmes, projects, and BAU initiatives.
- Collaborate with business owners, programme teams, and project managers to develop the investment planning roadmap and business case pipeline.
- Communicate planning progress and updates for strategic programmes and investments.
2.Investment Development
- Lead the development of Investment Briefs, Business Cases, Change Requests, and Benefit Reviews across the investment portfolio.
- Work closely with business owners and subject matter experts to identify issues and opportunities, assess urgency, and align with competing priorities and resource constraints.
- Engage project stakeholders to produce business cases covering options analysis, benefits mapping, cost‑benefit analysis, delivery planning, and risk assessment.
- Guide the development of project change requests related to scope, cost, or strategic adjustments.
- Conduct post‑implementation benefit reviews against approved business cases.
3.Portfolio Prioritisation & Investment Planning
- Develop and maintain portfolio prioritisation methodologies and investment scenarios.
- Manage ongoing portfolio prioritisation and propose changes based on agreed criteria.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date investment tracking, including business case pipelines, resourcing information, Investment Committee decisions, and change requests.
- Ensure portfolio management systems reflect current project approval status and planning progress.
- Provide regular reporting on business case production and portfolio performance.
4.Investment Committee Governance
- Prepare and manage monthly Investment Committee meetings.
- Consolidate meeting packs, ensure business owner readiness, and present investment planning content.
- Record, issue, and follow up on meeting decisions, actions, and minutes.
5.Governance & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor and continuously improve investment planning governance, processes, and templates.
- Ensure effective collaboration between Investment Planning, PMO, and Programme teams across the end‑to‑end investment lifecycle.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7years of relevant experience in investment planning, portfolio management, or business case development.
- Mandatory experience within the aviation sector, such as airports, airlines, aviation infrastructure, or aviation‑related capital programmes.
