Role purpose

Own the integrity of group books across entities through timely monthly close, reliable MIS, tax and audit compliance, and leadership of finance projects.

Accounting and reporting

  • Oversee month-end close across entities and modules; review trial balances and MIS with regional accountants and present results to the Group Finance Head.
  • Maintain accuracy of the general ledger, reconciliations, accruals, provisions, inventory, fixed assets, and intercompany balances.
  • Review sales and purchase invoices, credit notes, and tax bookings for accuracy.

Tax, audit, and implementation

  • Oversee VAT, corporate tax, income tax, GST, and statutory audits across countries, working with Tax & Compliance and external consultants; manage the GCC tax consultant.
  • Lead UAE e-invoicing implementation.
  • Clean up legacy books and lead the split of UAE operations into four entities in SAP Business One.

Controls and leadership

  • Build finance SOPs, processes, internal controls, and approval matrices.
  • Lead and develop regional accounts teams across locations.
  • Deliver other finance projects as assigned by the Group Finance Head.

Qualifications and experience

  • Chartered Accountant with 8–10 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Hands-on month-end close, statutory audit, and multi-entity reporting under IFRS experience.
  • Strong UAE VAT and corporate tax knowledge; GST exposure is an advantage.
  • Multi-country trading or distribution business experience preferred.
  • ERP experience required, ideally SAP Business One; ERP or e-invoicing implementation experience is a plus.
  • Proven team leadership across locations and strong communication with senior stakeholders.

Performance targets

Complete month-end close with trial balance and group-format MIS by the fifth working day; review and present monthly group MIS by the seventh working day.

File VAT, corporate tax, income tax, and GST returns on time with no penalties; close statutory audits well before deadlines with no significant findings.

Complete monthly AR, AP, bank, and balance-sheet reconciliations; avoid unreconciled AR or AP items older than 60 days and agree intercompany balances monthly.

Put SOPs and approval matrices for key finance processes into use and launch UAE e-invoicing by the regulatory go-live date.

Working conditions

  • Based in Dubai and works with finance teams across time zones.
  • Extended hours may be needed around month-end, audits, and tax deadlines.
