Senior Manager role in Grant Thornton UAE's Audit and Assurance practice.
The practice serves clients ranging from SMEs to international groups and listed companies, including financial services and PCAOB engagements.
Responsibilities
- Work with the leadership team to drive business growth and strategic initiatives.
- Develop internal and external networks to support business development.
- Manage a key client portfolio and maintain strong working relationships.
- Lead work with large, technically complex clients.
- Support the Audit Partner in running the team and oversee Senior Associates and Associates.
- Prepare audit strategy, organize and review work, and manage the audit portfolio.
- Negotiate client fees per engagement as appropriate.
- Participate in interviews for new team hires.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of external audit experience in a top international firm.
- Professional qualification such as ACA, CPA, or ACCA.
- Extensive post-qualification audit experience and interest in diverse businesses.
- Confidence in IFRS, internal controls, and financial statement consolidation.
- Experience with complex audits and delegating workloads.
- Comfort using audit software and Microsoft packages.
- Strong spoken and written English communication skills.
- Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and networking skills; interest in business development and team strategy.
- Willingness to work additional hours and travel as needed.
