Senior Associate role in External Audit and Audit & Assurance in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The role includes planning, directing, and completing audits, reviewing financial statements and technical accounting services, and supervising junior colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Own client engagements from planning to completion; participate in audit planning, identify risks, and devise audit strategies.
- Prepare or review work papers and draft financial statements; produce client deliverables and reports for management review.
- Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns on audit processes.
- Use artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, and data visualizations.
- Engage proactively with clients and recommend improvements; collaborate with senior colleagues on engagements.
- Stay informed about industry trends through regular professional development.
Skills and requirements
- Experience working on complex audits and delegating workloads appropriately.
- Comfortable using audit software and Microsoft Office; strong technical accounting skills and confidence in IFRS.
- Group-audit experience is key to success.
- Ability to supervise staff and lead projects.
- Willingness to work additional hours and travel as needed.
