Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and engineering processes for Vertical Links systems, ensuring technical excellence and alignment with all project goals
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to define technical requirements and outcomes, effectively communicating design concepts and solutions
• Establish and maintain design standards and guidelines, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and regulatory frameworks
• Manage the procurement and oversight of consultants and contractors engaged in design and engineering activities, fostering efficient workflows and collaborative relationships
• Conduct design reviews and quality assurance checks, ensuring all deliverables meet both technical specifications and stakeholder expectations
• Monitor project progress, identifying potential design-related risks and implementing suitable mitigation strategies to adhere to project timelines and budgets
• Drive innovation by researching and integrating emerging technologies and practices in vertical transportation systems
• Maintain effective communication channels across project teams and departments, ensuring timely updates and seamless information sharing
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to their professional growth and development in the field of design and engineering
• Engage in external networking and industry events to remain updated on trends, advancements, and challenges in vertical transportation engineering

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (Master's degree preferred)
• 10+ years of relevant experience in design and engineering of vertical transportation systems, with a focus on large infrastructure projects
• Proven expertise in managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams and projects
• In-depth knowledge of vertical transportation standards, building codes, and local regulatory requirements
• Strong project management skills with experience in delivering projects on time and within budget
• Familiarity with smart building concepts and sustainability practices
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with a focus on team collaboration and mentorship
• Ability to foster relationships with stakeholders and navigate complexities in a multi-faceted project environment
