Role overview

Strategic communications

• Provide strategic counsel and oversee communications campaigns aligned with business goals.
• Manage the thought leadership programme, including research coordination, consultants, drafting, design, publication, and dissemination of white papers and insight pieces.
• Develop executive positioning materials, op-eds, blog entries, and video talking points.
• Oversee press releases, speeches, reports, social media, and other strategic content.
• Coordinate with marketing and branding teams to align messaging and brand positioning.
• Update strategic communications frameworks and messages; quality-check internal and external content for accuracy and consistency.

Stakeholders, agencies, and reputation

• Develop stakeholder communication plans, advise on major Group issues, and distribute updates about company initiatives.
• Support leadership and Human Capital in promoting strategy, shaping culture, and encouraging employee engagement.
• Support media agency selection, prepare PR briefs and RFPs, set KPIs, and manage agency delivery and budgets.
• Maintain relationships with monitoring and social listening agencies; monitor public image and reputational risks.

Projects and reporting

• Manage strategic, high-profile projects from scoping and planning through execution, delivery, and evaluation.
• Oversee financial and sustainability reports, coordinating internal contributors and external consultants and specialists.
• Coordinate teams, business verticals, external parties, and consultants to deliver communications projects.
• Monitor communications effectiveness, media coverage, public perception, and sentiment; use analytics to assess campaign impact.
• Manage communications input to annual financial reporting with Finance, Sustainability, and other functions.
• Present findings to senior colleagues and provide market and industry updates to management.

Experience and education

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in corporate communications.
• Experience in communications or public relations departments; an agency background is preferred.
• Middle East experience is preferred.
• A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Affairs, or a related field.
• Financial or transaction communications experience is advantageous; sustainability communications knowledge is desirable.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Technical competencies

• Ability to produce thought leadership outputs, including white papers, reports, and strategic insights.
• Project management of multi-team and multi-vertical projects and campaigns.
• Excellent verbal communication and written English across different content formats.
• Arabic reading, writing, and speaking ability is preferred.
• Experience with government and public affairs issues and local and international media.
• Ability to leverage AI tools to improve efficiency, creativity, and communications processes.
• Ability to coordinate stakeholders and interact confidently with senior leadership.
