Role overview
Leads a team of Account Managers responsible for commercial credit and operations.
Manages a book of business under credit and operational risk policies.
Accountable for unit growth, pipeline management, sales coaching, and customer experience.
Customer and commercial growth
- Coach Account Managers to develop competitive customer solutions and meet customer experience targets.
- Resolve significant customer operational, credit, sales, and risk issues; act as an escalation point.
- Build customer, market, and partner knowledge and identify referral opportunities.
- Contribute to unit business plans, growth strategies, and business targets.
- Negotiate relationship profitability and support appropriate product referrals and customer retention.
Risk and operations
- Guide credit assessments and recommendations for structuring commercial credit.
- Maintain compliance with banking policies, regulatory requirements, and codes of conduct.
- Identify, manage, and escalate non-standard or high-risk transactions and activities.
- Oversee service and control standards and maintain a culture of risk management.
Team leadership
- Recruit, develop, coach, and retain a diverse team of commercial account managers.
- Set team targets, provide feedback and recognition, and conduct quarterly colleague check-ins.
- Lead teams through change and foster collaboration, learning, and an inclusive work environment.
Experience and education
- Undergraduate or graduate degree and/or 10+ years of relevant experience.
Pay details
- The stated base pay range is CAD $115,600–$163,200; no pay cadence is specified.
