Role summary

The Senior Manager, Analytics & Insights leads SE Health's analytics delivery team and business partnership, shifting from reactive retrospective reporting toward proactive partnership and decision-focused analytics.

The role is accountable for team people, delivery, priorities, escalations, and the analytics demand pipeline, while remaining hands-on in data visualization, storytelling, and dashboard development.

Business partnership and demand

  • Build proactive partnerships with operational, clinical, and corporate leaders; understand needs and define problems before determining solutions.
  • Own analytics intake, triage, prioritization, and request communications; identify use cases and maintain a visible pipeline of opportunities.
  • Choose appropriate BI, descriptive, advanced analytics, or machine-learning approaches and validate requirements and assumptions throughout delivery.

Team leadership and delivery

  • Lead analytics professionals through performance management, mentorship, development planning, prioritization, and workload balancing.
  • Oversee project planning, timelines, commitments, execution, quality, and accountability; manage escalations and represent the team to business partners and leaders.
  • Coordinate with Data Engineering, Application Data, and IT on data, access, and technical dependencies.

Analytics portfolio and governance

  • Establish a portfolio model aligned to business domains and maintain visibility into partners, reports, data sources, metrics, processes, and priorities.
  • Create and maintain governance assets, including business glossaries, data dictionaries, data specifications, and related documentation.
  • Conduct hands-on SQL data discovery and develop dashboards, visualizations, and data stories; peer-review analytical and data science work, including methods, models, validation, SQL, and dashboards.
  • Validate findings with system users and ensure documentation is created and maintained.

Reporting modernization

  • Lead reporting evolution toward intelligent, decision-focused reporting and meaningful metrics; support predictive methods where appropriate and move solutions toward production and adoption.
  • Monitor report use and adoption, identify duplication or low-value reports, and support portfolio rationalization.
  • Represent Analytics & Insights in enterprise programs and transformation initiatives, including data-migration reporting and validation; own relevant timelines, communications, and delivery commitments.

Education, experience, and certification

  • Bachelor's degree required; preferred fields are quantitative study, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Health Sciences, or equivalent combined experience and training.
  • Requires 8 to 10 years of experience, healthcare experience, and demonstrated leadership of analytics delivery in a team lead, project leadership, or management capacity.
  • Must possess analytics or platform-based analytics certifications, such as CORS or MCSE.

Technical and professional qualifications

  • Requires hands-on SQL and data-discovery skills in complex, low-documentation environments, strong dashboarding with Power BI or an equivalent, and data storytelling.
  • Requires in-depth knowledge of data science and machine learning, including supervised and unsupervised learning, model validation, performance evaluation, statistical inference, and MLOps/model lifecycle practices.
  • Requires technical proficiency across advanced SQL, Python or R for analysis, dimensional and semantic data modelling, and enterprise BI platforms.
  • Requires experience building partnerships, delivering adopted analytics solutions from ambiguous business problems, and establishing documentation and governance foundations.
  • Requires sound judgment in complex stakeholder environments, audience-aware communication, and the ability to coach and develop people.

Benefits and workplace culture

  • The employer describes comprehensive benefits, pension, flexible pay options, car-loan support, housing solutions, staff perks, flexible scheduling, tuition support, training, and career pathways.
  • The employer describes a supportive, inclusive, purpose-driven workplace and identifies as a national not-for-profit social enterprise advancing health.

Compensation
