Role Overview
The role is Senior Full-Stack Commerce Developer – Adobe Commerce/Magento UI, with primary emphasis on Magento and Adobe Commerce frontend expertise.
The preferred full-stack combination is Magento UI with React or Next.js and Node.js or TypeScript.
The role may contribute to traditional Adobe Commerce, modern storefronts, middleware or BFF services, headless commerce, and composable commerce integrations.
AI tools such as Claude, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and Cursor are used to accelerate software development.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, customize, and maintain scalable Adobe Commerce and Magento frontend applications, including themes, layouts, templates, UI components, and responsive experiences.
- Build React.js or Next.js storefronts and integrate them with commerce platforms and APIs.
- Develop or integrate Node.js and TypeScript middleware, BFF services, and APIs.
- Work with REST and GraphQL APIs on headless Adobe Commerce and commerce integrations.
- Use AI-assisted tools for coding, debugging, testing, refactoring, documentation, and technical investigation.
- Review AI-generated code for correctness, performance, security, maintainability, and compatibility.
- Improve application performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Participate in solution design, technical discussions, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
- Contribute to commercetools, Mirakl, Adobe Commerce Cloud, and other marketplace integrations.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers and share technical knowledge.
Core Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience in Magento or Adobe Commerce frontend development.
- Strong knowledge of Magento themes, layouts, templates, UI components, and frontend customization.
- Strong experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, responsive web development, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Good understanding and hands-on experience with REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, preferably React.js or Next.js, with exposure to Node.js or TypeScript.
AI Development Experience
- Hands-on experience using Claude, preferably Claude Code, or similar AI-assisted development tools.
- Experience using AI tools for code generation, debugging, refactoring, test creation, code explanation, documentation, and technical research.
- Ability to prompt and guide AI coding tools to understand existing codebases and implement changes.
- Ability to review, test, debug, and validate AI-generated code before incorporating it into production applications.
- Understanding of AI-generated code risks involving security, authentication, authorization, data integrity, and destructive operations.
Additional Qualifications
- Experience with Adobe Commerce Cloud, headless commerce architecture, modern storefront development, GraphQL, Node.js or TypeScript middleware, or BFF development.
- Exposure to Adobe Commerce API Mesh and App Builder.
- Experience with commercetools, Mirakl, or other commerce and marketplace integrations is a plus.
- Strong understanding of eCommerce concepts, workflows, integrations, and customer-facing digital experiences.
- Experience working with Git, automated testing, CI/CD practices, and Agile development.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, strong problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Willingness to adopt new technologies, AI-assisted development practices, and modern engineering tools.
