Full Job Posting

Role overview

Supports complex Canadian customer opportunities involving non-standard low-voltage switchboards and PZ4 drawout equipment.

Evaluates technical feasibility, configuration options, cost, and lead time before Sales and Quotations teams commit to a solution.

Works with Sales, Quotations, Engineering, Manufacturing, and external vendors; scope may expand to North American quotation support.

What you’ll do

  • Provide technical application support for non-standard switchboard and PZ4 low-voltage drawout requests.
  • Review specifications, one-line diagrams, drawings, bills of material, and identify missing information.
  • Assess requests against technical, dimensional, manufacturing, and standards-related constraints.
  • Investigate configurations and modifications with engineering, manufacturing, vendors, and technical resources.
  • Define technical approaches and coordinate cost and lead-time inputs for quotations.
  • Recommend feasible alternatives and clearly explain modifications, limitations, and conditions.
  • Document assumptions, clarifications, and solutions for quotations and project execution.
  • Prioritize multiple requests and provide post-order technical clarification to Project Engineering.
  • Develop Canadian product knowledge and contribute to wider North American support and knowledge sharing.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering, another relevant technical field, or equivalent education and directly related experience.
  • Hands-on experience designing or applying low-voltage switchboards or drawout switchgear, and understanding of configuration and manufacturing.
  • Sound judgment about modification impacts on dimensions, components, manufacturability, and feasibility.
  • Ability to interpret specifications, one-line diagrams, drawings, bills of material, and related documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, clear communication, collaboration, and ability to manage competing deadlines.

Additional experience that may help

  • Familiarity with switchboards and PZ4 or comparable low-voltage drawout products; Canadian requirements, CSA standards, or Canadian-US configuration differences.
  • Exposure to engineered-to-order products, custom configurations, quotation support, or customer and consultant discussions.
  • Working knowledge of control schemes, PLCs, relays, ground fault protection, communication systems, estimating tools, labour standards, or manufacturing cost data.

Compensation

  • Expected pay range is CAD 91,200–CAD 136,800 per year, including base pay and short-term incentives.

Benefits

  • Benefits may include health and insurance coverage, paid holidays and time off, family leaves, retirement and incentive plans, learning and development, flexible work arrangements, and employee support programs; eligibility and terms apply.
