Role Overview

Qualifications and Experience

• B.E., B.Tech., or M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical major.
• 8–12 years of mechanical product design experience.
• Experience with system- or subsystem-level mechanical product design in the water treatment equipment industry.
• Experience with manufacturing environments, materials, processes, and finishing operations.
• Expertise in GD&T, tolerance stack-up, DFMEA, and concept selection metrics.
• Deep knowledge of fabrications, piping, industrial structures, pressure vessels, tanks, valves, and pumps used in water treatment equipment.
• Experience with global engineering collaboration, including interaction or travel across locations.

Mandatory Skills

• Mechanical product design for water treatment equipment.
• SolidWorks software, 3D modeling, and weldment.
• BOM management, value engineering, and new product development.
• Project planning and execution.
• Materials, manufacturing processes, and fabrication.
• Pressure vessels, tanks, piping, and industrial structures.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Desired Skills

• SolidWorks PDM, pipe routing, and piping.
• GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Pumps and valves application knowledge.
• Design calculations, mentoring, and technical leadership.
• International travel and cross-functional collaboration experience.
• Continuous improvement and innovation mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop new products and improve existing designs through continuous improvement and value engineering.
• Conduct design-related testing and validation.
• Deliver projects on time and within agreed budgets while maintaining technical and quality standards.
• Collaborate with business units, product management, simulation, validation, manufacturing, quality, procurement, suppliers, and customers.
• Drive innovation through product standardization, design reviews, root-cause analysis, benchmarking, and continuous improvement.
• Generate intellectual property and mentor trainee and junior engineers.
