Senior kdb+ Developer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery on client projects, setting standards for quality and performance.
• Design and implement kdb+ architectures that handle billions of rows of time-series data.
• Translate business needs into performant code in collaboration with quants, traders, and analysts.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers.
• Develop, test, support, and maintain client application code across the full development lifecycle.
• Drive innovation by staying current with kdb+, q, and adjacent technologies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on kdb+ development with deep expertise in q and time-series data.
• Experience designing and implementing kdb+ architectures and scaling production systems.
• Strong background in Unix/Linux environments and scripting.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and decision-making in fast-paced projects.
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in capital markets or investment banking.

Bonus experience

• Python, AWS, GCP, Azure, or other time-series database experience is a bonus.
• Exposure to tick data, real-time analytics, or electronic trading systems is a bonus.
