Senior IT Security Analyst (Banking /Financial services exp)

Overview

• Minimum 10+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 7+ years in cybersecurity / network security roles within large enterprise environments.
• Proven hands-on experience in administration, support, and maintenance of network security technologies, including:
• o

Firewalls (Perimeter & Internal)

Web Application Firewalls (Waf)

Proxy And Secure Web Gateways

• Strong practical experience in designing and implementing secure network architecture, including segmentation, zero trust models, and secure connectivity across hybrid environments.
• Hands-on experience with SD-WAN and enterprise routing environments, ensuring secure communication, encryption, and resilient connectivity across branches and cloud.
• Experience managing and optimizing CDN and DNS platforms, ensuring availability, performance, and protection against volumetric and application-layer attacks.
• Proven expertise in security operations and incident response, including investigation, containment, and remediation of network and application-layer threats.
• Strong experience in SIEM/SOC integration, including development of detection use cases, log onboarding, and network security event monitoring.
• Hands-on experience in vulnerability management, penetration testing remediation, and threat intelligence utilization, supporting proactive risk mitigation.
• Experience in implementing and maintaining security controls aligned with international frameworks, including:

Nist And Cis Benchmarks

• Proven experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM/PAM) and enforcing least privilege principles across enterprise systems.
• Strong experience in cloud security (preferably Azure), including secure configuration, access control, and protection of cloud-native and hybrid workloads.
• Hands-on experience in security tools and technologies, such as:
• SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk)
• Endpoint security (EDR/XDR such as CrowdStrike)
• Network security controls (IPS, NAC, WAF)
• Demonstrated experience in audit handling, compliance validation, and remediation tracking, including preparation of evidence for internal and external audits.
• Proven experience in developing security documentation, including policies, standards, SOPs, incident response runbooks, and architecture designs (HLD/LLD).
• Strong experience working in regulated environments (banking/financial sector preferred), with exposure to regulatory expectations (CBUAE, NESA, PCI DSS), and ability to operate under strict governance and risk controls.
