Senior Interior Designer – Design Lead (BIM/Revit Coordination)

Job Summary

Design Leadership & Concept Development

• Lead interior design concepts for residential, commercial, hospitality, and mixed-use projects.
• Develop mood boards, space planning studies, material palettes, and design narratives.
• Translate client requirements into innovative, functional, and aesthetically compelling design solutions.
• Present design concepts and proposals to clients and stakeholders.

Technical Design & Documentation

• Prepare and oversee detailed interior design documentation including:
• Floor plans

• Reflected Ceiling Plans (RCPs)

• Interior elevations and sections
• Joinery and custom furniture details
• Material and finish schedules
• Lead the production of Design Development (DD) and Construction Documentation (CD) packages.
• Ensure all documentation is accurate, coordinated, and aligned with project objectives.

Project Coordination

• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, MEP consultants, and BIM teams.
• Participate in client, consultant, and contractor coordination meetings.
• Review shop drawings, material submissions, and mock-ups for compliance with design intent.
• Support project managers in maintaining design quality throughout project execution.

FF&E, Materials & Finishes

• Select and specify materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and fixtures.
• Prepare FF&E schedules and design specifications.
• Ensure selections align with project budgets, quality standards, and sustainability goals.

Bim & Revit Coordination

• Review and coordinate interior design deliverables within a Revit/BIM environment.
• Collaborate with BIM teams to ensure design integration and clash resolution.
• Provide guidance on BIM-related design requirements and project coordination.
• Oversee project delivery workflows utilizing BIM standards and processes.

Authority Compliance & Site Support

• Ensure designs comply with UAE authority regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
• Support authority submission packages where required.
• Conduct site inspections and provide design clarifications during construction.
• Resolve design-related site issues while maintaining design intent and quality.

Education

Experience

• 8–12 years of experience in Interior Design within an architectural consultancy, interior design consultancy, or multidisciplinary design firm.
• Strong portfolio of completed residential, hospitality, commercial, and mixed-use projects.
• UAE or GCC experience is highly preferred.

Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of Revit with the ability to review and coordinate BIM-based projects.
• Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
• SketchUp or other 3D visualization tools.
• Experience with FF&E specifications and schedules.
• Strong understanding of joinery detailing and interior construction documentation.

Knowledge & Standards

• Strong understanding of interior construction methods and detailing.
• Knowledge of UAE authority regulations and submission procedures.
• Familiarity with international design standards and best practices.
• Understanding of sustainable design principles and material-efficient solutions.
