Senior instrumentation commissioning role on major Oil & Gas EPC projects in the UAE.
Focuses on instrumentation and control systems, brownfield and greenfield facilities, and plant startup.
Commissioning duties
- Execute and supervise instrumentation commissioning to project requirements and industry standards.
- Perform I/O checks, hot loop testing, calibration, and instrument and control system troubleshooting.
- Conduct cause-and-effect verification, functional testing, logic checks, and control narrative validation.
- Use HART and Emerson Trex communicators and Foundation Fieldbus systems.
- Coordinate with construction, QA/QC, client representatives, vendors, and operations, especially on brownfield modifications and tie-ins.
- Prepare and review procedures, method statements, risk assessments, and testing protocols.
- Execute and witness SAT, ISAT, operational, interface, and Modbus communication testing.
- Complete system conformity checks, mechanical completion walkdowns, ITR verification, punch-list management, and closeout.
- Follow project HSE requirements, permit-to-work systems, and safe commissioning practices.
Experience and qualifications
- 12–20 years of Oil & Gas commissioning project experience.
- Proven EPC commissioning experience and experience with brownfield modifications and live plant commissioning.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of process instrumentation, DCS, ESD, F&G, PLC, and communication systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, coordination, and communication skills, and commitment to HSE and safe work practices.
- ADNOC project experience is preferred.
