Senior Inspection Engineer

Role overview

Inspection duties

• Inspect, examine, test, and certify lifting equipment and accessories, including cranes, forklifts, MEWPs, earth-moving machinery, and other in-scope equipment.
• Conduct visual examinations, functional testing, load testing, and thorough examinations; assess condition and identify defects, deterioration, and unsafe conditions.
• Review technical documentation and inspection requirements, then prepare accurate reports and certificates.
• Liaise with clients, HSE teams, and site representatives; support technical decisions and junior inspection personnel as needed.
• Ensure work complies with applicable UAE requirements, international standards, and company procedures.

Candidate requirements

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong third-party inspection experience and demonstrable experience inspecting lifting equipment and accessories.
• Strong knowledge of inspection codes, standards, and testing requirements; ability to inspect and report independently.
• Strong client-facing and technical communication skills.

Preferred qualifications and experience

• UAE experience and a UAE driving licence are preferred.
• ADNOC approval or substantial ADNOC project experience is highly preferred.
• LEEA qualifications or certifications, major UAE client/operator approvals, multiple inspection scopes, and accredited third-party inspection body experience are highly preferred.

Compensation

• Pay starts at AED 8,000 per month.
• Compensation is based on relevant experience, technical capability, certifications, industry or client approvals, and inspection scopes; exceptional packages may be considered for added technical capability or strategic value.

Work location

• Work location is in person in Abu Dhabi.
