Senior Front End Developer (UI/UX)

Job purpose

Responsibilities

• Design and develop company-wide web applications and libraries, including architecting and implementing software components.
• Manage build and deployment activities, create tests, and document software designs and versions.
• Identify application improvements and collaborate with business analysts and product managers on requirements.
• Support and mentor developers on JavaScript and web concepts; follow quality guidelines and software development standards.

Knowledge and experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science; graduate degree preferred.
• At least 5 years of advanced JavaScript and functional programming, 3 years of advanced CSS, and 2 years of HTML5 techniques.
• Expert JavaScript ES6+, HTML5, and CSS3 skills; strong React, Redux, React Hooks, and TypeScript experience.
• Knowledge of component-driven development, UI/UX, responsive design, design systems, and WCAG/ARIA accessibility.
• Experience translating wireframes and prototypes with designers and using build tools, package managers, Git, CI/CD, and testing frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, communication and collaboration abilities, and ability to work independently with sound judgment.

Preferred experience

• Experience maintaining shared component libraries or design systems is preferred.
• SPA performance optimization and familiarity with theming systems or CSS-in-JS, such as Styled Components or Emotion, are preferred.
